Meet Amie...

Amie grew up playing soccer, basketball, and softball, and graduated as tri-captain and female athlete of the year from Blair Academy. Despite her athleticism, she struggled with body image issues: she was overweight, and got teased about it regularly. But she overcame her eating issues and learned how to eat so that she could lose weight, maintain it, and have a healthy relationship with food. As a result of her own experiences, she became determined to help others achieve success too.

Amie graduated from SDSU with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Recreation Therapy. In 1994 she received an Acupressure certification from the Acupressure Institute of Berkeley and is an NSCA certified personal trainer.

Since 1996, Amie has been a nutritional counselor, as well as an in-home and outdoor personal trainer. Prior to that, she managed and played soccer at SDSU (San Diego State University) for two years. For several years she worked as the assistant director for the San Mateo School Nutrition Program, which was designed to get healthy food into schools. Currently, she is the owner of Train with AIM, and the nutrition expert and trainer for Koi Fitness in San Francisco.

Amie has worked with hundreds of clients on programs combining fitness and nutrition, tailored to individual needs such as the amount of weight to lose, age, and fitness level. She has helped clients lose and keep off weight without feeling deprived or being on a “diet” for the rest of their lives. Her eating plans do not follow one prescribed diet, they are based on her own knowledge and experience, as well as the individual needs of her clients. She has helped people lose anywhere from 180 pounds to 10 pounds and keep it off, by giving them the tools to eat in the “real world.”

You can achieve your goals too – contact Amie today to get your one-on-one, individualized program. You can lose weight and feel and look your best for a lifetime. Educate, Lose weight, Celebrate!
